This is your Life: Yearning & Discontent

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

There are times in our life when we experience a season of discontent. I am not talking about the feeling that can result from a bad day or a bad week. I am talking about an ongoing sense of dissatisfaction and a haunting awareness that the life you are living is not meeting your emotional needs. Where this nagging question keeps pushing to the surface, “Is this all there is”?

You may be trying your best to ignore this question because you are too tired to give the thought any credence. Or you may feel you are not entitled to address the question due to age, economics, or even guilt because you do not think you are entitled to consider changes in your status quo.

Trust me, I know. I spent a year too tired to explore such a thought and felt guilty about even questioning the quality of my life. But there is a strong chance that the recurring feeling is associated with a state of yearning and discontent.

Contemplate the possibility that this awareness is reflective of you taking care of yourself. Each of us has a small voice within that guides us in our daily life. Ponder that this voice wants to make you conscious of your soul’s desire for greater expression and is prodding you to embrace the growth that will facilitate dreams and desires that are aching to be actualized.

With desire and a plan, dreams can become a reality

The first step can begin with one hour, set aside to clarify what you want. Understand this is an investment in you.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Imagination, commitment, planning, and activation are all part of the process. Combining these elements with support, encouragement, and accountability will aid in moving toward your desired destination. The end goal is to transform yearning and discontent into soul-satisfying satisfaction and fulfillment, resulting in a deeper relationship with yourself as you enjoy the benefits of living a life you love.
